Flights via Toronto

There are 13 daily non-stop flights from Toronto Pearson Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

Air Canada, Lufthansa, United Airlines and KLM regularly facilitate this route. Our personal recommendation would be to fly in the evening (Canadian time) and sleep on the plane, so that you can maximize a full day of sight-seeing when you land in Europe. KLM is the best airline for comfort and food out of these options.

Depending on how early you book and seasonality, you can get flights for as cheap at $500CAD return.

Flights via Montréal

There are 3 daily non-stop flights from Montréal P.E. Trudeau Airport.

Air Canada, Delta Airlines and Air France regularly facilitate this route. Similarly to Toronto, we’d recommend flying in the evening to maximize your sight-seeing opportunities. Air France is the best airline for comfort and food out of these options.

Depending on how early you book and seasonality, you can get flights for as cheap at $700CAD return.

The benefit of flying via Montréal is the ability to drive from Ottawa (instead of purchasing an additional internal flight) and saving an hour of flight time.

guests arriving from the u.k.

This likely isn’t your first rodeo and you’ve probably been here for a few stag parties already. But, just in case you need assistance…

Flights from London

There are 192 flights flying from London to Amsterdam every day (look at you, spoiled for choice). Most are terrible options, but it’s only 40 mins and you can often find a flight for around £50, so no complaints there!

Trains from London

There are 3 direct trains from London to Amsterdam-Centraal.
You can often find a one-way ticket for around £50 if you book early enough, and it takes approximately 4 hours. You will need to connect via Brussels on the way back because apparently the U.K. is quite strict about passport control (who knew?).

International Guests

We’re lucky to have friends joining us from all over the world! Amsterdam Schiphol is one of Europe’s major hubs, with flights arriving from all over the globe. If you need a visa to enter the country, make sure you apply early and let us know if you need any official documentation (paper invitation, etc.) to help facilitate this process.

Tips and Tricks

  • Make sure to leave enough time in between your internal flights and your transatlantic flight.

  • skyscanner.com is a great website to find the cheapest flight deals

  • When you arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, there are a few options to get into the city:

    • Train from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Centraal. This takes 20 mins and the trains depart every 5 mins. The cost is around €6

    • You can support Jon and his co-workers by taking an Uber. This takes around 35 minutes and is around €35. Pickup is outside the airport, near the Sheraton hotel.

  • If you get lost or need assistance, ask someone for help: everyone speaks English (including the taxi drivers, coffee shop baristas, etc.).

  • Amsterdam is more or less a card based city, so don’t take out too many euros before you visit.
